Bottom ash treatment plant Wuppertal

Project period

2012 until 2015

Client

AWG Abfallwirtschaftsgesellschaft mbH Wuppertal

Task and implementation

WVW Wertstoffverwertung Wuppertal GmbH operates a processing plant for household waste incineration ash in Wuppertal on behalf of AWG. In view of massive signs of wear and tear, we were commissioned to comprehensively modernise and redesign the plant technically.

Thanks to a complex interaction of modern aggregates for classification and separation, the new plant ensures the best possible output of metals and non-ferrous metals – both qualitatively and quantitatively. Two manual sorting cabins and two drum screens are used for iron refinement. Furthermore, the incineration ash is separated and the fine ash is conditioned using Advance Dry Recovery technology. In order to continuously optimise the operation of the plant, we also support WVW beyond acceptance by providing analyses and planning.
